Therese Adams, Esq., CLPF
Ms. Adams has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from California Coast University. She received her Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and holds the Associate of Risk Management (ARM) Certificate from the Insurance Institute of America.
Ms. Adams is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary and holds license number 284. Ms. Adams is a general member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California. In addition, Ms. Adams is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of California. She is also a member of the Bar Associations in Sacramento, Placer, Yuba, and Sutter counties.

Joseph Arana
Mr. Arana is Managing Director and is responsible for the day to day management of the firm. Mr. Arana has an AAS Degree in Accounting from McKinley College. Mr. Arana has more than 20 years of Corporate Management experience which enhances the firms fiduciary services to our clients. Mr. Arana is also fluent in Spanish.

David Buehler
Mr. Buehler is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary and holds license number 611. Mr. Buehler graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and a minor in Business. Mr. Buehler has over 33 years of domestic and international corporate management experience, as well as having the experience of being the caregiver for his parents. Mr. Buehler understands the challenges of family dynamics and fashions creative solutions to resolve complex family issues. In his role at Adams & Associates, Mr. Buehler assists clients with arranging for personal care, communicating with their family members, and managing their financial assets.

Karen Poeschel
Ms. Karen Poeschel is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary and holds license number 639. Ms. Poeschel has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Chico. Ms. Poeschel also holds both the Conservators and Trustees Certificates in Professional Fiduciary Management from California State University, Fullerton. Ms. Poeschel is a U.S. Navy Vietnam Era Veteran and has over 25 years of experience working for high tech companies.

Amy Self
Ms. Amy Self is an Assistant Private Fiduciary with Adams & Associates and is working towards being a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary. Ms. Self has an AAS in Court Reporting from Sage College and has 20 years experience as a Certified Shorthand Reporter. Ms. Self also brings over 7 years of medical and legal office manager experience and currently provides professional staff support for Adams & Associates.

Leticia C. Garcia
Ms. Leticia Garcia is an Assistant Private Fiduciary and assists the professional staff with technical projects. Ms. Garcia is completing her education at Sierra College and is working towards being a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary. Ms. Garcia is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Ms. Garcia is also a Notary Public.
Adams & Associates employees who act as Private Fiduciaries are members of PFAC. All fiduciaries affiliated with the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) must fulfill educational and experience requirements. In addition, PFAC members are governed by a stringent Code of Ethics. PFAC members must meet annual educational requirements and standards set by the organization.
